La Monumental de Barcelona was the last bullfighting arena in commercial operation in Catalonia. Nowadays, the space hosts several leisure activities. Among them, there is Monumental Club, a proposal that brings together live music and gastronomy. MEATS students were invited to design an innovative proposal that could fit within the public attending to future editions of the festival. The final results were later presented to Cervezas Alhambra – the official sponsor of the event – and Monumental Club director Borja Malet. Aiming to promote interactive participation, the MEATS team carried out an exhaustive field research dealing with key points such as the use and connectivity of the different areas of the building and their physical conditions, or the analysis of the existing organization and its impact on attendants to help to understand behaviors and discover causes that drive them.
