During the 2020 IF Social Design for Sustainable Cities conference in Warsaw, MEATS students participated in an intensive weeklong online workshop. The focus was COVID-19 niches: pandemic-related new uses of urban space.
Elisava students in Barcelona worked in teams with students from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw.
The workshop explored temporary space design as a tool to reclaim the city, generate social cohesion and collabrative citizen engagement in the face of antisocial and divisive pandemic conditions.
