Toni Montes
Architect (ETSAB). He was co-founding partner of F451 arquitectura, where he developed his professional practice from 2000 until 2014. In 2014 he founded miba architects with Laia Isern, a platform devoted to architectural design and research. His work has been extensively awarded and published both nationally and internationally. He has taught in the Master’s program at IAAC (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia) and Eina University School of Design and Art.

Roger Paez
Architect (ETSAB, Barcelona). Master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design (GSAPP, Columbia University, New York), PhD Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB, Barcelona) with the dissertation “Operative Cartography: Mapping Agency in Architectural Design, 1982-2012”. Following professional experience in the studios of Alison + Peter Smithson and Enric Miralles, he co-founded AiB arquitectes, an award-winning collaborative platform for professional activity, research and academic pursuits based in Barcelona. He has extensive academic experience both in Europe and the US.

Jordi Queralt
Architect (ETSALS, Barcelona) and Master’s degree in Art Production and Research (University of Barcelona, Barcelona). From his studio in Barcelona, espais per l’acció, he develops projects that stand out for the inextricable connection between space, time and narrative in their designs: stage design, art direction, facilities and exhibition design. He teaches architecture and design at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as workshops.

Since the mid-nineties they have been involved in development of the arts applied to the field of ephemeral space. With a background in the visual arts, theatre and architecture, they are characterised by their continuous research in the fields of space, light and objects. Their defiant attitude stems from their exploration of extremes in theatricality, basing their creations on the conciliatory nature between space and light.

Edouard Cabay
Architect ( Architectural Association School of Architecture in London). He founded Appareil in Barcelona in 2011, an office developing architectural and research projects both in Spain and abroad. In parallel to practice, he currently teaches at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona and at the EPFL in Lausanne. He is the director of the AA Visiting School Barcelona and has ran the workshop “Crade et Vivant” with Michel Gondry at the IAAC. He has taught at the Architectural Association, and has been Associated Professor at the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris, from 2012 to 2015.

Stella Rahola
Licensed and master in architecture (ETSAB). Her career as an artist began when she came face-to-face with the material reality of architecture. Among her solo shows one may highlight the L’altre Paisatge show at Galería Carles Taché (Barcelona, 2014), Shui at Chinese European Art Centre (Xiamen, China, 2013) or La resonancia de la materia at Arts Santa Mònica (Barcelona, 2013).

Julia Schulz
Architect since 1990 from the Architectural Association in London. She has had her own professional office in Barcelona since 1993 and has been awarded for her work as a designer with the City of Barcelona Prize, the Maresme Triennial Architecture Prize and two FAD Awards for Ephemeral Spaces. She is author of the book Arte y Arquitectura: nuevas afinidades (Gustavo Gili 2000) and Ruinas Modernas: una topografía de lucro (Àmbit 2012).

Degree in Economics, Postgraduate degree in Management and Cultural Policy (Universidad de Barcelona) and Postgraduate in E -Commerce (Birkbeck College, University of London). Currently he is CEO of Charming Music, creative consulting agency for music branding and director of SoundEat music-food festival. He has participated in organizing events and festivals such as Beefeater In -Edit or Eme3.

Mercè Alsina
PhD student in Art History and Theory. Art critic and independent curator. She has curated more than a hundred exhibitions as the artistic director for the ARTUAL and GALERIA 44 galleries (Barcelona) and others like: Abelló Museum, Mollet; Palau Robert, Barcelona; Axe Actuel, Toulouse; Studio Oggetto, Milan; Aqua Viva, Naples. Co-editor of contents for murcritic, a platform for documentary resources on art and contemporary thought.

David Espluga
and Creative Director of espluga+associates, he holds a degree in Industrial Psychology (University of Barcelona) and Graphic Design from Llotja (Barcelona). Since 1992, espluga+associates has been awarded 85 national and international awards in various disciplines. David has served on the jury of numerous awards and has more than 350 projects published in specialized industry books. espluga+associates specialises in comprehensive branding projects, ranging from strategy, naming, visual identity and interior design to communication. Currently David Espluga also teaches for the Master’s Degree in Information Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) and the Master’s Degree in Packaging Design at ELISAVA.
