Architect (ETSAB). He was co-founding partner of F451 arquitectura, where he developed his professional practice from 2000 until 2014. In 2014 he founded miba architects with Laia Isern, a platform devoted to architectural design and research. His work has been extensively awarded and published both nationally and internationally. He has taught in the Master’s program at IAAC (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia) and Eina University School of Design and Art.

Master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design (GSAPP, Columbia University, New York), PhD Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB, Barcelona) with the dissertation “Operative Cartography: Mapping Agency in Architectural Design, 1982-2012”. Following professional experience in the studios of Alison + Peter Smithson and Enric Miralles, he co-founded AiB arquitectes, an award-winning collaborative platform for professional activity, research and academic pursuits based in Barcelona. He has extensive academic experience both in Europe and the US.

Professor at the Architecture School of the University of Girona. His work has been extensively awarded (FAD awards, Premi d’Arquitectura de les Comarques de Girona and Changing Tracks Award). His work combines architecture, urban planning, fine arts, photography and new technologies. His practice rises from experimentations, critics, essay and excitement, form interpretation and respect for the social, physical and cultural environment.

Graduate in Fine Art and Diploma in Advanced Studies from the doctorate programme in ‘Art in the Digital Era. Intermediate Creation’, University of Barcelona. She has developed specific projects for different contexts, such as MACBA, Barcelona; Centre d’Art la Panera, Lleida; Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, Madrid; Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea, San Sebastián; Secesssion, Vienna. Her work has been shown in Madrid, Barcelona, Brussels and Berlin. Her work has won awards including Research Grant Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm; BCN Producció’10; Blueproject Foundation; Art Nou and Miquel Casablancas.

Since the mid-nineties they have been involved in development of the arts applied to the field of ephemeral space. With a background in the visual arts, theatre and architecture, they are characterised by their continuous research in the fields of space, light and objects. Their defiant attitude stems from their exploration of extremes in theatricality, basing their creations on the conciliatory nature between space and light.

From his studio in Barcelona, espais per l’acció, he develops projects that stand out for the inextricable connection between space, time and narrative in their designs: stage design, art direction, facilities and exhibition design. Architect since 1990 from the Architectural Association in London. She has had her own professional office in Barcelona since 1993 and has been awarded for her work as a designer with the City of Barcelona Prize, the Maresme Triennial Architecture Prize and two FAD Awards for Ephemeral Spaces. She is author of the book Arte y Arquitectura: nuevas afinidades (Gustavo Gili 2000) and Ruinas Modernas: una topografía de lucro (Àmbit 2012).

Currently working at the Barcelona based studio Queralt Suau. Academic experience as a teacher assistant at several university workshop formats and innovation labs.
